From our own personal collection    Two very functional dinner platters of almost identical proportion    One is marked "Burgess & Goddard"  Royal Patent Ironstone   The other is marked "James Edwards & Son"  (Dalehale)
The Burgess and Goddard platter measures  9 3/4 inches deep        13 1/2 inches wide       1 1/2 inches high   The weight is
2 pounds 13 ounces    See photo with ruler     The condition is excellent
The James Edwards & Son platter measures 10 inches deep      14 1/4 inches wide      1 3/4 inches high     The weight is
3 pounds 11 ounces
Only condition issue is the James Edwards & Son platter has the two tiniest marks on the edge   (see photos)
