Up for auction a dinner plate by Eschenbach Porzellan Germany featuring the art of Guy Buffet.  Guy Buffet is a French-American artist whose whimsical rendition of sommeliers, chefs and waiters and other images grace such every day items as dinner plates, napkins, tablecloths, men’s dress shirts, ties and women’s fashion. Guy’s famous images depict restaurants, people and animals from Hawaii to France. Guy Buffet has been commissioned by corporations worldwide including: Grand Marnier, Absolut Vodka, Ventura Foods, Westin and Ritz Carlton Hotels. Guy is the signature artist for Champagne Perrier Jouet.
After the bankruptcy of the Winterling A. G. in November 2000, the assets were taken over by the Triptis Porzellan G. m.b.H. & Co. K. G.  located in Triptis (Thuringia). The factory produced high quality household and hotel porcelain under the trademark 'Eschenbach Porzellan'.
The plate measures 8" in diameter and weighs 11.4 ounces prior to packing for shipping.
This piece is in very good used condition without cracks, chips, flakes or repairs.  I see a couple of very faint scratches on the wide rim.  I also see a couple of glaze bubbles.  The under glaze decals are crisp, clean and very well executed.
