    Description

For your consideration are a pair of antique Brown-Westhead Moore cream soup bowls with matching saucers (four pieces total). The pattern number P1944 features a central rose and floral design; a similar pattern of flowers repeats along the rims of the cup and saucers.  The double handled bowls measure approximately 4" across the top, 5" with handles, and stands 2 1/4" high; saucers 6" wide and 1 1/4" high to the rim.
Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co., produced high quality pottery in Cauldon, England from 1862 through 1904. In addition to earthenware for the domestic British market, pieces were made for export. These particular sets of bowl and saucer were made for Spaulding & Co Chicago, best known for its jewelry.
Each of the four pieces are in very good condition without wear, chips or cracks.
